Independent Mineral Standards (IMS) is the first dedicated minerals CRM producer in Australia to achieve ISO 17034 accreditation. The accreditation covers both crushed and pulverised certified reference materials across a range of commodities, including gold, iron ore, and bauxite.

The ISO 17034 accreditation was awarded by NATA (the National Association of Testing Authorities), Australia’s leading accreditation authority for over 70 years.

NATA supports national and international trade through the acceptance of test and calibration data. ISO 17034 (General Requirement for Competence of Reference Material Producers) accreditation assures our clients that the quality and reliability of reference materials developed and produced by IMS conforms to strict technical, procedural, and managerial system requirements.

IMS General Manager, Dr. John Carter: “Being the first dedicated CRM producer in Australia to receive ISO 17034 accreditation is a major milestone for IMS. This accreditation plays a vital role in demonstrating the consistency and reliability of IMS’ products. IMS products are thoroughly assessed for homogeneity, stability and extensively characterised by internationally recognised ISO 17025 accredited laboratories.

“Achieving ISO 17034 accreditation demonstrates that IMS has the systems, controls, tracking, handling, and rigorous statistical processes in place.  Every batch is manufactured using robust standardised processes – from raw materials to data analysis and formal certification.”
