IMS has just released new CRMs PBS202, PBS203, PBS204 and PBS222 on the market.

An essential part of any laboratory quality control program for iron ore exploration and mining, these CRMs are accredited to ISO17034 and have passed rigorous homogeneity, characterisation and stability assessments.

They cover the economic Fe concentration range for goethite-hematite mineralisation and are certified using Lithium borate fusion XRF and multi-step TGA analysis.

These suites of CRMS offer a wide variety of gangue element concentrations, including high manganese and high phosphorous, along with moderate alkali levels and alkaline earths — whilst maintaining low levels of silica and alumina.

They also complement IMS’ already extensive range of pulverised iron ore CRMs, and act as replacements for previously manufactured CRMs where stocks are depleted.

The addition of ISO17034 accreditation to pulverised iron ore-certified reference materials is attractive to laboratories and can be used as part of their ongoing ISO17025 accreditation obligations.

They are characterised by a network of ISO17025 accredited laboratories that ensure their metrological traceability to ensure the inter-comparability of measurement results worldwide.

IMS’ certification process guarantees the inter-comparability of measurement results worldwide and the highest level of quality assurance that can be obtained by an accredited impartial manufacturer.
