We’re delighted that Bruce Armstrong will be speaking at the Datamine Laboratory Symposium in Brisbane this Friday. Bruce’s presentation is titled: ‘Statistics and Application of ISO17034 CRM Uncertainties’.
This 1 day free in-person professional development and networking event for mining and commercial laboratories will provide an open platform for laboratory staff to engage, network, and share their experiences around solving technical issues in their laboratories.
The Laboratory Symposium 2023 will play host to presentations from industry leaders at SGS, Queensland Alumina Limited (QAL), RACI, Independent Mineral Standards (IMS), Chemiko, Trace Analytical Services, and Datamine. This event will provide insights into some challenges and experiences commonly encountered in the laboratory industry.
Major speakers include:
- Independent Mineral Standards (IMS)’ Operations Manager, Bruce Armstrong is responsible for overseeing the production and certification process of #CertifiedReferenceMaterials (CRM). He has been a geologist for 25 years, having worked across greenfield exploration, underground mining, resource estimation, and feasibility studies in precious and base metals.
- Datamine’s Senior Technical Consultant Cristian Conrads applies his vast knowledge and experience to customise #CCLAS integrate into external systems, so our customer’s laboratories run in a highly automated manner.
- Datamine’s Senior Laboratory Advisor Ian Gilmore specialises in Gold and Lithium Laboratories. He has over 40 years of laboratory experience, 27 years of managing the ALS Metallurgy Assay Lab, and 6 years of expertise in #Laboratoryadvisory services.
- Datamine’s Principal Business Consultant Dave armstrong graduated in physical and inorganic chemistry and was seconded into the new world of #LIMS development while working as a research scientist in the UK. He is still enjoying the challenges of system design, development, deployment, user training, ongoing customer support, and local/international travel 40 years down the track.
