IMS would like to introduce Harry Ooi as our new Graduate Statistician!

Harry is skilled in computational modeling; applying mathematical models to experimental observations, analysing and interpreting data and producing relevant statistics to describe and infer trends and patterns.

Harry will be utilising his technical knowledge to perform statistical calculations to obtain property values and standard uncertainties from homogeneity, stability and characterisation studies on IMS candidate materials. The determination of uncertainties is critical for certified reference materials. It is only with these important statistical calculations can the accuracy and precision of a test be thoroughly assessed, and ongoing quality control programs be valuable.

As a former Laboratory Technician for Intertek Robotics Laboratory (Fortescue Metals Group), Harry also lends his expertise in conducting sample preparation and analysing mining samples using robotic XRF and TGA equipment.

IMS looks forward to seeing Harry apply his technical skills and industry experience to help us expand and further assist our clients both in Australia and overseas!
